When we built our home, we painted everything white…inside and out. Slowly I added color to the inside and after quite a few years, I got brave enough to paint the outside beige. I loved it. I ended up keeping the bottom stemwalls white. I always held out hope that someday they would be covered in stone.
Now that we are getting the house ready to sell, it doesn’t appear that we will be doing that…maybe the next owners.
We painted the walls green and somehow the stemwalls just needed something different this time. We added a little bit of black to the green just to ground it a bit and started painting.

He uses a large paint brush to brush the dirt and dust off the wall right before he paints it. He then stores the brush in his pants. Isn’t he cute?
